Problem behaviours are forms of communication

Sometimes, these are the ways a struggling child communicates an unmet need:

  • not listening when spoken to

  • not remembering details or instructions

  • procrastinating

  • fidgeting

  • impulsivity

  • emotional outbursts

  • difficulty starting and completing schoolwork

Often symptoms of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), particularly when undiagnosed, untreated and unsupported. These symptoms can affect your child’s function at home, at school and socially.
