Our Story

Six-year old Avery smiling and holding a sign that says "Bravery" decorated with colourful sparkles. Avery is wearing a pink shirt and is sitting at a table with a bowl of cereal.

Meet Avery

In 2013, Tanya’s daughter Avery started Grade 1. This sweet kid struggled to behave, learn and make friends in the expected ways.

Once Tanya had Avery assessed, everything made sense. The diagnoses and recommendations from the assessment process shifted Avery’s learning trajectory in profoundly positive ways.

From that point on, Tanya turned her focus to helping kids like Avery - as well as their parents and teachers - to thrive and succeed. A true labour of love!

While brainstorming possible names for the clinic, Avery looked at Tanya and said, “Well… Why do you do what you do?”

The answer was clear.

Tanya Keto is one of Alberta's foremost children's assessment specialists and ADHD experts.

Meet Tanya

In the last two decades, I’ve become an expert in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia in particular. I have extensive experience supporting twice-exceptional gifted learners, in addition to students struggling with mood and anxiety disorders.

Helping kids succeed through assessment is a process I am deeply passionate about, as well as showing parents and teachers new ways to support their students. Under the supervision of a respected assessment psychologist at Calgary’s Foothills Academy Society, I completed over 3,000 hours of assessment training.

In addition to assessments, I provide regular coaching and education to teachers, caregivers and educational specialists.

As a Parent Coach for the Centre for ADHD Awareness Canada (CADDAC), I improve outcomes for children and families coping with ADHD and relationships in the home.

I am also a member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and the Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit Disorder (CHADD).

As a Sessional Instructor at the University of Calgary, I teach Learning Disabilities in the Master of Education program.

I know what parenting a struggling child is like. Please contact me with any questions you have!
